About the canon:
I'm so very fond of this canon. It's very enjoyable watching both the elaborate murder plots and Columbo deftly unraveling them in his own seemingly-unassuming way. Plus the bond between man and dog!
Prompts
- (Columbo) We only really see Columbo on a case, and the information he gives about his life outside his work varies greatly on the suspects he's trying to corner. Is there any truth to any of the stories he weaves? Any slice-of-life or Columbo tailing a more "ordinary" case would be lovely.
- (Columbo & Dog) I'd like to see a case from Dog's point of view! Maybe Dog is trying to help his master by seeking out crucial clues, or maybe Dog has a canine case of his own that intersects with Columbo's mystery-of-the-week. (This would work very well with interactive fiction, if that's something you're interested in).

About the canon:
This is one of my oldest fandoms, and I have such affection for all the weird and wonderful people at the 4077th. I love the humor and seeing all these strong personalities play off of each other, and I love the times when they do their best to find light in the midst of the horrific situation they're living in.
Canon-specific DNWs: Any non-canon ships involving Radar, Colonel Potter, or Henry Blake, and any shipping that breaks up BJ/Peg (although adding others into their relationship is great). I am completely happy with any other ships, though - f/f, f/m, m/m, polyamorous, whatever you like!
Prompts
- (Any) Canon-typical shenanigans in general - prank wars, Klinger's Section 8/escape attempts, all the little events that they come up with to try to stave off boredom. Alternatively, canon-typical serious moments and explorations of trauma would be excellent as well; in particular, this canon is inherently good for the "taking care of a wounded friend" hurt/comfort scenario. Just anything you loved about the series, I'd be glad to see a fic version of it.
- (Any) All of the above episode-typical moments, but also with the ICOR paperwork that Radar or Klinger had to fill out after various camp goings-on. The canon promo post also reminded me of how fun a Choose Your Own Adventure format could be for this fandom - following one of the characters through a typical day at the 4077th, or through a deluge of wounded, or accompanying a patient to camp or to a different MASH unit, or trying to get much-needed supplies. I always liked episodes like Point of View or Life Time that did something unusual with the format, and I'd enjoy seeing something along those lines here, too!
- (Margaret) Margaret has a spine of steel and a huge amount of volatile emotions and vulnerability that she has no idea how to express. I really liked the episodes where she ended up alone with one or two others, especially in a forced-proximity situation, because that's where her conflict between being strong and acknowledging her emotional needs seemed the most evident. Maybe she's trapped somewhere (on the road, at an aid station, in that cave from the CAVE episode) with one of the other characters and needs to make her way back to camp while relying on the other person?
- (Klinger) Klinger always has some scheme running, and I'd enjoy seeing any of them, particularly where they intersect with his knowledge of fashion and tailoring. I also somewhat see all his different plans and tricks as a way of getting his mind off where he is and why he's there. How did he pull of putting together that fancy wardrobe and elaborate disguises? I also liked the episode Dear Uncle Abdul and would love seeing him describe the events of the 4077th to his massive family in epistolary form. (In addition, I don't have any particular gender headcanons wrt Klinger, but I'm good with seeing Klinger playing around with gender and gendered expectations both deliberately and by accident).
- (Mulcahy) Command has sent an order that all personnel need to be trained in self-defense, and Mulcahy finds himself head teacher of the 4077th's impromptu boxing academy. Sure, he likes being needed, but he didn't expect to be needed for this, and between his new students' reluctance and his own unsureness of his purpose and capabilities he's not sure he's up for the challenge. How does he manage the situation? Do they ever have to make use of their training?
- (Any) They're sent away to a medical conference in Seoul or Tokyo. What happens - irritation over room sharing? Wild times at local establishments? An encounter with a visiting general (Klinger’s pulling a wild scheme, Mulcahy’s polite but questioning, Charles is schmoozing to try to get out of the 4077th, and it's probably one of Margaret's exes)? Bonding with each other while incredibly drunk? Kissing/hooking up while incredibly drunk?
- (Klinger, Mulcahy) The camp or the orphanage desperately needs supplies, and one or both of them wheel and deal with the black marketeers to get what they need while dodging suspicious MPs. I like seeing their guile at work!
- (Charles) I really enjoy Charles' relationship to music, how he sees it as his solace and uses it to both carve out an oasis for himself (while annoying his tentmates) and to comfort those who share his passion. I'd like to see Charles learning a new instrument, or teaching music to others, or bonding with patients or other hospital staff over music. Or possibly one of his own compositions?
- (Charles) I find it interesting that he and Hawkeye and Trapper would have lived in Boston in overlapping time periods, and it's likely that they would have still gone to Boston sometimes for work-related reasons even after the war ended. It would be cool to see Charles continuing to run into the people from the 4077 in Boston post-war and eventually start trying to see each other on purpose, because like it or not they're one of the few people around who Gets It, and the push-and-pull of rivalry and respect between them (and possibly the romantic/sexual sparks)

About the canon:
This is another of my oldest fandoms! I love all the risks that Our Heroes take to help/save the others (even when there seems to be a betrayal, they always come back and do whatever they can to make things right), and it makes for sound camaraderie that makes their adventures so fun to watch. The worldbuilding is a great genre-hodgepodge of sheer pulpy nonsense with room for both fun antics and genuinely touching moments.
I'm familiar with various aspects of both the Disney canon universe and the Legends universe, supplemented by spending way too much of my free time on Wookiepedia. Feel free to draw on whatever version of canon you want and to mix them together if it makes sense for what you're creating! Don't worry about what I might or might not have seen/read; I like going down wiki rabbit holes and I don't care about spoilers. Finally, if you're writing Leia/Luke/Han or Leia/Lando/Han I'm happy with it both as a full triad or as a Han-centric V, depending on your preferences.
Prompts
- (Any) An adventure story about going on the hunt for a MacGuffin, including mysterious clues and booby traps and narrow escapes from The Bad Guys. Making blatant Indiana Jones references using Han is encouraged. (I'd also be very here for this kind of story in a Choose Your Own Adventure format).
- (Any) An undercover mission! Han and Leia (+ Lando or Luke) pretending to be married/actually getting married to maintain cover, Luke having to resort to the Force at the worst possible time, Chewie actually bringing one or more of the others in as "prisoners" rather than him having to pretend to be the captured one for once...
- (Any) I really like one-or-both-twins-are-raised-by-Vader-as-his-Sith-apprentice(s) AUs and even Empress-Padmé-and-her-heir(s) AUs. How do all of the characters' relationships change in a world where that happened?
- (C-3PO & R2-D2) They're always on the edge of whatever drama is happening among the main characters, and I'd love the opportunity to see them at center stage! Anything with their own POV on the events of the movies would be great, or maybe an exploration of their lives in between the prequels and the original trilogy? Maybe Threepio and Artoo go on their own mission for the Rebellion!
- (C-3PO & R2-D2 & Darth Vader) There's just a lot of potential for comedy and drama and dramatic irony here. How could the droids come into Vader's possession - capture, being bought, maybe they never left Vader's service in the first place? How do they handle life behind Imperial lines, and what sort of tasks does Vader ask of them? How does Vader relate to them, as Vader and as the memory of Anakin?
- (Leia & Luke, Leia/Han, Leia & Luke & Han, Leia/Luke/Han, Lando/Leia/Han) At the last minute, Tarkin decides against destroying Alderaan. How does Alderaan's survival impact the development of the Rebellion, as well as the relationships among the characters? I'm also very here for Queen Leia stories.
- (Leia & Luke) Anything that goes into their Force connection - feeling it before they realize what it is (maybe showing up in each other's dreams, or as each other's "imaginary friends" as small children) or using it to better learn how to use the Force and understand each other after they know. Also, Leia sharing her memories of Padmé with Luke.
- (Leia & Luke) I love any and all moments of Leia getting Jedi training, and I'd love to see more of that! How does she approach her powers? In what ways does she work well with Luke's teaching, and in what ways does she feel a conflict with it? How does she react when she's using her powers for the first time? I'm also great with a role-reversal where Leia's the Jedi teaching Luke.
- (Leia & Luke & Han or Leia/Luke/Han) Anything about the time period in between ANH and ESB, where Leia is grieving her planet and Luke is adjusting to commanding a squadron and Han is insisting that no, really, he's going to leave any day now. They're already close even by the end of ANH, having bound together in life-or-death situations, but how does their relationship develop and grow in the relatively mundane times?
- (Leia & Luke & Han or Leia/Luke/Han) I always see Han as being just a little weirded out by the whole Force thing, no matter how long he knows Luke and Leia. How does he handle both of their growing powers, and how does it change their relationships?
- (Leia/Han or Lando/Leia/Han) They manage to keep Han from getting frozen in carbonite, but Luke is captured instead. How do they work together to save him and keep the Rebellion running while also grappling with their feelings for one another?
- (Leia/Han or Lando/Leia/Han) In ROTJ, they have a lot of time to come to an understanding about their relationship on the way from Tatooine back to the fleet - or just celebrate getting Han back.
- (Lando & Chewie) Anything about their time together between ESB and ROTJ, having to rely on each other to find Han while repairing broken trust and processing how they've both changed since the last time they were working together.
- (Lando & Chewie) Sometime during the Rebellion, Chewie recruits Lando's help to liberate Kashyyyk from Imperial control. How do they try to pull it off? Any sort of elaborate schemes or cons would be awesome here.
- (Any) Any of the other prompts, but in the style of an after-the-fact mission report or other Rebellion internal communication. Maybe every member of the mission has a conflicting story about what exactly happened? Maybe it's all the requisition and order forms Han filled out trying to get new parts every time something on the Falcon stops working?

About the canon:
With Cat/Ned, I love the canon story of them building a life together and slowly falling in love. Neither of them expected to marry the other and their marriage got off to a rocky start, to say the least, but through a combination of natural compatibility and working to understand each other, they created one of the strongest marriages in the canon and became the loves of each other's lives. The chapter in AGOT where they're pulling each other close all the time during their meeting in King's Landing demonstrates just how much comfort they find in each other, and they both spend a lot of their page time just wanting to be back home and back together.
For Ellaria/Oberyn, they both have such strong personalities that it's fun to see them sparking off with each other. Neither of them are bound by the social conventions of Westeros and are determined to get what they want, and I like the idea of them forging their own path together. They also differ in interesting ways, too - Oberyn spends his canon appearance driven by revenge while Ellaria's biggest moment in the series is a speech on the futility of revenge, and yet they have a very obvious respect and love for each other despite their differences. (With this couple, I'm also great with adding in other people, as long as it conforms to my DNWs).
Prompts
- (Ned/Cat) I'd love to see takes on their early married life as they get to know each other and learn to trust and depend on each other. This includes things like early awkward conversations and even more awkward sex in Riverrun, slice-of-life in Winterfell, learning to make the sex less awkward and eventually actually good, raising their children or discovering a pregnancy, and exchanging letters during Robert's Rebellion and the Greyjoy Rebellion. (A note on Jon: Jon's presence in Winterfell is obviously a major part of the development of Ned and Cat's marriage - handle it as much or as little as you'd like, I just ask you to be as fair as possible to each of the characters involved and to have Jon as the result of R+L=J).
- (Ned/Cat) I would also be interested in seeing Ned and Cat in a canon-divergence AU but still marrying for political reasons - maybe Edmure is a girl and Cat is heiress to Riverrun marrying second son Ned, or this is a world where Brandon and Catelyn manage to get married and have a child before his death and Ned marries his brother's widow to help secure Brandon's child's rulership of Winterfell.
- (Oberyn/Ellaria) What was their original courtship like? How did they first meet, and how did they seduce each other into becoming dedicated partners? Any background on Ellaria would also be very welcome, since we know so little of what her life was like pre-Oberyn.
- (Oberyn/Ellaria) I'm also really interested in the period of time between the Rebellion and the start of canon, where Oberyn and Ellaria are building their family together and Oberyn is making plans for vengeance. Was Ellaria present for the deal Oberyn signed with Willem Darry in Braavos, and even if she wasn't, what did she think of it (Doran says that Ellaria didn't know about it, but I'm willing to believe he's wrong especially for fic purposes)? What was it like raising the Sand Snakes?
