About Demetrius/Helena/Hermia/Lysander: This is such an intriguing ship to me. None of them do anything by halves, and the way all their personalities and passions (real and illusory) connect and collide with each other over the course of the play makes them so great to watch. When they come out of the fairy world with everything they now think they want, they also still have to work through their feelings on what's real and false about their new lives (and how much exact ratio of reality to make-believe really matters to them in the end - I think the answer would very much vary among the four of them). And of course, the fairy magic opens the door to a lot of mindbendy fun.

Prompts

- Magic can help them lose their inhibitions and show each other their vulnerability; it could make them come together and find to a new understanding of each other as they try to either keep the magic going or undo it.

- Speaking of the fairies, what could happen if they didn't end up letting the lovers go free in the morning and instead kept them at their court? Now they've found themselves bound together, because of the fairies' whims or because they want to stay together as the only humans in a wild and unpredictable fairy court.

- Once they've come out of the woods and returned to Athens (either as an official group marriage or as two separate couples in the eyes of the law but all together all the same), how would they look back on their time in the woods as a group and make a new life together going forward?

About Cat/Ned: I love the canon story of them building a life together and slowly falling in love. Neither of them expected to marry the other and their marriage got off to a rocky start, to say the least, but through a combination of natural compatibility and working to understand each other, they created one of the strongest marriages in the canon and became the loves of each other's lives. The chapter in AGOT where they're pulling each other close all the time during their meeting in King's Landing demonstrates just how much comfort they find in each other, and they both spend a lot of their page time just wanting to be back home and back together.

Prompts

- (Ned/Cat) Most of the freeforms work well to describe Ned and Cat's marriage prior to AGOT, and I'd love to see takes on their early married life as they get to know each other and learn to trust and depend on each other. This includes things like early awkward conversations and even more awkward sex in Riverrun, slice-of-life in Winterfell, learning to make the sex less awkward and eventually actually good, raising their children or discovering a pregnancy, and exchanging letters during Robert's Rebellion and the Greyjoy Rebellion. (A note on Jon: Jon's presence in Winterfell is obviously a major part of the development of Ned and Cat's marriage - handle it as much or as little as you'd like, I just ask you to be as fair as possible to each of the characters involved and to have Jon as the result of R+L=J as per my infidelity DNW).

- (Ned/Cat) I would also be interested in seeing Ned and Cat in a canon-divergence AU but still marrying for political reasons - maybe Edmure is a girl and Cat is heiress to Riverrun marrying second son Ned, or this is a world where Brandon and Catelyn manage to get married and have a child before his death and Ned marries his brother's widow to help secure Brandon's child's rulership of Winterfell.

- (Ned/Cat) Their marriage was both interfaith and intercultural, which is relatively rare in Westeros. Did they change the ceremony or have another ceremony (possibly an unofficial one) to accommodate each other's faiths? How do they understand each other's religious and cultural traditions during their marriage? (Ned had a sept built at Winterfell for Cat, Cat is generally more inclined to believe in supernatural signs from the old gods than even Ned is, and the children learn both faiths without any apparent attempt to pressure them, which suggests some degree of mutual understanding). Any worldbuilding on religious and cultural traditions of the old gods and the Seven would also be great, as well as delving into how the spouses handle the cultural differences and culture shock between the North/the Riverlands.

About these ships:I love how much they're all willing to risk to help/save the others (even when there seems to be a betrayal, they always come back and do whatever they can to make things right), and it makes for sound camaraderie that makes their adventures so fun to watch. The frequent snarking and the tendency to improvise foolhardy plans for (mostly) good causes is a bonus!

I'm familiar with various aspects of both the Disney canon universe and the Legends universe, supplemented by spending way too much of my free time on Wookiepedia. Feel free to draw on whatever version of canon you want and to mix them together if it makes sense for what you're creating! (In the case of Han and Leia's canonical marriage, take as much or as little information about their canon!wedding and its timeline in either canon as you want here, including inventing something new. If you'd prefer to write something more Legends-leaning, I'm also very happy to have Mara Jade in the mix - with Luke, with Lando, as part of a big polyamorous web or sedoretu with any and all of my requested characters, whatever you want). Don't worry about what I might or might not have seen/read; I like going down wiki rabbit holes and I don't care about spoilers. Finally, if you're including Leia and Luke in the same relationship, I'm good with incest but I'm also good with V-type relationships if that makes you more comfortable.

Prompts

- A spur-of-the-moment marriage just seems to fit so well for these characters. They're all a bit reckless and maybe a bit drunk, but they also trust each other more than anything, and I really love the idea of them finding this joyful moment of union that they may not have planned out but 100% don't regret. Spur-of-the-moment proposals fit well here too - sure, they may both/all be thinking "what the hell?" at first, but after a bit of consideration...

- I also like the idea of these characters having an improvised unofficial wedding in the middle of something dangerous, along the lines of Will and Elizabeth's wedding in Pirates of the Caribbean. Maybe Luke or Lando is the hastily designated officiant (if they aren't also the ones getting married - or even if they are)? And if they go with this option, it could also be fun to see them having a larger, more official ceremony later once they're out of the life-or-death situation, confirming to each other and the galaxy that this is what they want.

- Fake marriage/marriage of convenience while on a mission, con, or smuggling run. It'd be easier to negotiate with this planet or culture if they pose as a married group, or they're undercover for the sake of a con or a mission, or they need to extend legal protections to one another quickly and a marriage is the most efficient way to do it (given everything they get up to, I could easily believe any of them getting involved in a jam where they need a legal reason not to testify against each other or to shield someone against legal repercussions in a hurry).

- Accidental marriage while on a mission, con, or smuggling run. Similar to above, but more concerned with the fallout of getting married without intending it to mean anything. Maybe Han and Lando thought that wedding way back when didn't really count until Han is planning the wedding with Leia and they realize it'd be easier to add Leia to their marriage than go through the tax headache of a divorce, or maybe these three or four are on a mission to the GFFA's equivalent of Gretna Green or Las Vegas and don't recognize that whatever they just did counts as a legal marriage, or they have an encounter with an alien culture with very different ideas of what constitutes a legal union (something seemingly innocuous is a marriage ceremony to these aliens? a mistranslation makes them legally record three people in a marriage instead of two? they consider twins to be the same person and Han is very confused why he now has a husband and a wife? lots of options).

About Mara/Luke: I love Mara's prickliness and deep-down loyalty and I love Luke's determination and heart. I really enjoy how well they work as a team to solve obstacles in their way, even at the beginning when they had zero reason to like or trust each other, and I like the snarkiness which becomes another way they challenge each other. They just seem to click!

I'm familiar with various aspects of the Legends universe, supplemented by spending way too much of my free time on Wookiepedia. If you want to make up new things for your fic or to include non-Legends-contradictory elements from the new canon, I'm fine with that too! Don't worry about what I might or might not have seen/read; I like going down wiki rabbit holes and I don't care about spoilers. And if you'd like to include background relationships (canon relationships, Han/Lando, Han/Leia/Lando), I'd be very happy to see them.

Prompts

- So many of the big moments of their relationship are in the middle of danger, and getting married spontaneously while still on an adrenaline high just really works for them. And I love them the idea of them reflecting on what they've gone through together after everything has cooled off and then choosing each other again with a vow renewal, too.

- Luke and Mara pretending to be married for any number of Very Good Reasons is both awesome and hilarious to me, as is them being obligated to be married for any of those same Very Good Reasons. I'm here for all the tropeyness, from trying to pull off the act with varying degrees of acting abilities (and snarking at each other throughout), to a moment of "are you kidding me" if/when they find out the marriage ended up being legally binding, to promising it definitely won't really matter and having that promise fade more and more into the background the more time they spend together...basically, all kinds of forced proximity turned welcome proximity while slowly opening up to each other and dealing with all these messy inconvenient feelings.

- I'm very interested in them being able to connect through the Force, in all kinds of different points in their relationship - when they still see each other as a danger but maybe grudgingly find a bond useful, after they've started up a friendship and start growing closer, after they've gotten together and are navigating a relationship as partners. How do they handle that intense vulnerability?

About Robb/Rhaenys: While we don't get much information about Rhaenys in canon, she's a character with interesting potential. A Targaryen and Dornish princess having to handle those two legacies and cultures is fascinating in itself, and her AU survival probably would have had an enormous impact in the fallout of Robert's Rebellion, no matter which side ended up victorious. Robb (who would not have existed if not for the Rebellion which was sparked by the murder of his uncle and grandfather by Rhaenys' grandfather) also has to handle intense responsibilities and legacy in canon, and I liked how hard he tried to live up to what he felt was right despite the crushing pressure on him. Having these two come together would necessitate the existence of some interesting canon divergences, on top of the potential of them interacting and potentially trying to make a marriage work together.

Did either couple change the ceremony or have another ceremony (possibly an unofficial one) to accommodate each other's faiths? Any worldbuilding on religious and cultural traditions of the old gods and the Seven would also be great, as well as delving into how the spouses handle the cultural differences and culture shock between the North/the Riverlands/the Crownlands/Dorne.

- (Robb/Rhaenys) Since Rhaenys' survival requires an AU anyway, there are so many potential AU pathways for a Robb/Rhaenys marriage. All of them would involve not only the usual difficulties of an arranged marriage/marriage of convenience, but also navigating their families' complicated and painful history with each other as they build a marriage with each other and experience day-to-day life together. Some of the possibilities:

  • In the aftermath of a Robert's Rebellion where Rhaenys survives, Robert decides that instead of just killing the dragonspawn like he wants to, he sends her to Winterfell as a hostage/ward to eventually marry his most loyal man's son and stay out of the way of any potential supporters of a Targaryen restoration. Alternatively, he sends her to marry Robb after a lifetime as a hostage in his court or in a secluded motherhouse.

  • Rhaegar wins, Rhaenys is promised to Robb to eventually secure peace among hostile factions. Robb might grow up in Winterfell as per canon, or as a hostage in Rhaegar's court, or as a child Lord of Winterfell in the North if Ned is executed.

  • Rhaenys grows up across the sea in exile with Viserys and Dany or with Young Griff/Aegon, and returns to offer Robb an alliance that will put the Targaryens on the throne in exchange for her hand in marriage, the support of an army, and quite possibly a dragon.

Maybe Han and Lando thought that wedding way back when didn't really count until Han is planning the wedding with Leia and they realize it'd be easier to add Leia to their marriage than go through the tax headache of a divorce, or maybe Han/Leia or Han/Lando or Han/Leia + Lando or Luke are on a mission to the GFFA's equivalent of Gretna Green or Las Vegas and don't recognize that whatever they just did counts as a legal marriage, or they have an encounter with an alien culture with very different ideas of what constitutes a legal union (something seemingly innocuous is a marriage ceremony to these aliens? a mistranslation makes them legally record three people in a marriage instead of two? they consider twins to be the same person and Han is very confused why he now has a husband and a wife? lots of options).

About Mara/Luke: Going through some of my Legends books reminded me how fond I am of these two together. I love Mara's prickliness and passion and I love Luke's strength and heart.

And if you'd like to add any one of my requested ships from the OT request for this request (Han/Leia, Han/Lando, Han/Leia/Lando), I'd be very happy to see them.

- So many of the big moments of their relationship are in the middle of danger, and getting married spontaneously while still on an adrenaline high just really works for them. And I love them the idea of them reflecting on what they've gone through together after everything has cooled off and then choosing each other again with a vow renewal, too.

- Luke and Mara pretending to be married for any number of Very Good Reasons is both awesome and hilarious to me.

Dear creator,

Thank you for creating something for me for this exchange! I'm excited to see what you come up with and I hope you have fun doing it. Prompts are here if you'd like them, but if there's another idea inspired by the selected tags that grabs you I'd be happy to see it! Please also don't take me writing more or less for one prompt or another as a sign of what I'd prefer; I had to narrow down the tag options to only my very favorites for each request to make it fit the limit, so please take that as a sign that I'd love anything you'd come up for any of them.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me through the mods. I'm also sincereously on AO3.

Worldbuilding (especially magical, religious and cultural worldbuilding)
Canon divergence

Elaborate plans that may or may not work out
Improvising new plans as you go along
Repressed characters learning to let go
Struggling against temptation/the Dark Side

General art likes
I love a wide range of art styles, so I don't have much of a preference there. For art-specific prompts:
Characters at their wedding ceremonies
Characters helping each other put on wedding clothes - or characters in tattered wedding clothes after something goes very wrong at the ceremony

General DNWs:
Character bashing
Canon-divergent death of any requested characters (canonical deaths are fine)
Non-canonical child death
Setting change AUs (ex. coffeeshop, high school, modern AU, etc.)
One or both/all sides of a requested pairing cheating on the other
Formalized dom/sub relationships
Ageplay
Omegaverse
Mpreg
Excretory kinks
Body horror
Rape/noncon (dubcon - sex pollen with both/all characters dosed, sex in arranged marriages, fuck-or-die, etc. - are fine)
Underage under 15 and unrequested non-canonical ships with 15+ year age gaps (mentions of canon examples of both are acceptable, but please don't make them the focus of the fic)
Cross-gen incest
Animal abuse
Fic devoted primarily to examining real-world issues/-isms
Hopeless endings (endings can be dark, but not without any shred of hope)
For both fic and art, please keep the level of violence at about what it is in canon.

- (Ned/Cat, Robb/Rhaenys) Both of these marriages would be interfaith and intercultural, which is relatively rare in Westeros. Did either couple change the ceremony or have another ceremony (possibly an unofficial one) to accommodate each other's faiths? How do they understand each other's religious and cultural traditions during their marriage? (Ned had a sept built at Winterfell for Cat, Cat is generally more inclined to believe in supernatural signs from the old gods than even Ned is, and the children learn both faiths without any apparent attempt to pressure them, which suggests some degree of mutual understanding).

About these ships: The OT crew, in various configurations! I love how much they're all willing to risk to help/save the others (even when there seems to be a betrayal, they always come back and do whatever they can to make things right), and it makes for sound camaraderie that makes their adventures so fun to watch.

(In the case of Han and Leia's canonical marriage, take as much or as little information about their canon!wedding and its timeline in either canon as you want here, including inventing something new). Don't worry about what I might or might not have seen/read; I like going down wiki rabbit holes and I don't care about spoilers. Finally, if you're writing Leia/Luke/Han or Leia/Lando/Han I'm happy with it both as a full triad or as a Han-centric V, depending on your preferences.

Prompts

- Trying to plan and pull off the wedding of the last Princess of Alderaan and the war hero General Solo must have been a complete circus, and that's if there are only two heroes of the Rebellion involved in this wedding. How do they handle it? Working to reconstruct Alderaanian wedding traditions and blend them with traditions Han (and/or Lando and/or Luke) might want, complaining to their friends and possibly trying to manage insecurities and cold feet, trying to redirect Threepio's meddling, maybe deciding to screw the whole thing and elope...

- I also like the idea of Han and Leia (or Han/Lando or Han/Leia + Lando or Luke) having a spur-of-the-moment unofficial wedding in the middle of something dangerous, along the lines of Will and Elizabeth's wedding in Pirates of the Caribbean.

It'd be easier to negotiate with this planet or culture if they pose as a married couple/throuple, or they're undercover for the sake of a con or a mission, or they need to extend legal protections to one another quickly and a marriage is the most efficient way to do it (given everything they get up to, I could easily believe any of them getting involved in a jam where they need a legal reason not to testify against each other or to shield someone against legal repercussions in a hurry).

- Accidental marriage while on a mission, con, or smuggling run. Similar to above, but more concerned with the fallout of getting married without intending it to mean anything. About Krobus/Player: I'm very glad that ConcernedApe now allowed us to move in with the sewer monster, but I still want more! We get hints about the lore of Stardew Valley throughout the game, and Krobus is the source of a lot of that lore, particularly surrounding the magical aspects of the game. I love how different his understanding of the world is than a human's, and I love how he slowly warms up to the player and ends up being quite sweet and to some degree curious about the human world.

I don't have any preferences for the design of the player character - create and characterize them however you like! (Well, maybe not a farmer who took the Joja route, but most anything else).

Prompts

- Worldbuilding is a big interest of mine in this fandom, in this case particularly centered around how Krobus understands marriage. Do the Shadow People even have a concept of marriage? If they do, how is it similar or different to that of humans? If they don't, does Krobus try his best to provide what he thinks the Player wants in a wedding but can't quite figure out how the traditions work? Krobus' belief in Yoba would also be fascinating to explore in the context of a wedding.

- Going along with "strange Shadow People traditions", the possibility of a soul bond would be interesting here. How would that work between a Shadow Person and a human? What would having that bond be like?

- Any canon-typical slice-of-married-life stories would also be lovely here: Krobus helping where he can around the farm, Krobus adjusting to living in the farmhouse, Krobus and the Player talking about their pasts and their future, possibly adopting a child together? The marriage would have to stay a secret, even more than the roommate situation - how does that affect them both? Or maybe the townspeople and/or Shadow People know after a while and they have to deal with the fallout (maybe dangerous, or maybe everyone's surprisingly cool with it).
